Pompeii Gladius
This Raven Armoury Gladius has a diamond section flat ground blade, an ivory micarta handle and Roman Oak guard and pommel.
The timber we have used for the fittings was felled towards the end of the First Century AD.
This oak was excavated in London and is thought to have once formed part of the Roman docks on the Thames.
The Guard is fitted with an inset steel plate.
