The Traditional Maintenance Kit (1003-GT), supplied with each of the Shinto, Bamboo, Musashi and Golden Oriole Katanas and Wakizashis as well as the Naginata, is also available separately.
The kit contains blade oil, rice papers, an oiling cloth, a powder ball for blade polishing and a brass awl and hammer (not meant for use, but for reasons of authenticity). The kit is contained in a fitted wooden box and full maintenance and handling instructions are included.
