Spangen Helm

This is a hand raised Spangen Helm by David Broomfield.

Virtually all copies of this style of helm are either spun on a lathe, or forged in sections and welded together.
Only a few armourers in the world have the skills required to raise the bowl of a helm by hand.
The helm was made with a new finish and then naturally distressed for over a year.
